My Music

A dream realized!

Campobello Sky (The Cormier Sessions) is now available in both download and CD format. Driven largely by so many of you who have wanted to have my music to enjoy on your own, this has been a dream of mine for many decades. When Canada’s multi-award winning performer, singer/songwriter, instrumentalist J.P. Cormier agreed to collaborate in the project, I knew it was time.

The album contains original songs of mine and covers of some of my favorites by others (including J.P.). Hope you will give it a listen and tell your friends. Enjoy!

Campobello Sky video

I wrote the song Campobello Sky after my conversations and interviews with fishermen on Campobello during my research for my book, The Voices of Fishermen on Superstitions.

When I debuted the song at a Campobello coffeehouse, I was overwhelmed by the powerful response. I see the song as a gift to the island for all it has given me. So, with the help of many others, I recorded the song and made this video (2018).

The Covid Concerts, From Home

Like so many musicians, I want to make some music available to people in the days of physical isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The power of music to connect us has never been more important. So, with not even marginal recording equipment at home, I recorded these using my cellphone. Please excuse the quality and enjoy the music. (2020)

One of my favorites by Cheryl Wheeler.

One of my favorite J.P. Cormier tunes.
A deceptively simple song by Sam Baker

One of the most enjoyable parts of playing music is the experience of a wide variety of venues and playing partners. Here is a sampling of photos from festivals, coffeehouses, churches and the quiet of my home.
